Summer technically starts June 20th but it’s getting hot enough out now that it feels like summer! Plus I’m on Summer break from school, so it’s Summer for me!
Here are some things I love to do and things I love about the Summer months.
1. Picnics!
I don’t go on enough picnics. I think this is one thing that we grow to love as we grow up!
I remember when I was younger, waking up on Saturdays and packing lunches and a frisbee to go to on a picnic with the family.
I never truly appreciated it.
But now that I’m older, not only are picnics very romantic but to lie outside all day and relax, listen to the birds, watch the sun move…amazing.

2. Flavor Ice.
Most summers I basically live off nothing but Flavor Ice.
If you haven’t, you need to try them.
Be warned, they are extremely addictive.
(also…orange is my favorite)

3. Theme Parks.
Specifically Six Flags Great America in Illinois.
Great days. I love roller coasters.

4. Camping.
Every year, my mom’s side of the family has a family reunion. And we almost always go camping (or rent cabins).
I wish I went camping more.
Fires and S’mores.
Staying up late, watching the stars.
Waking up early in the morning, with the smell of dew.

5. Sunset and Night Walks with friends
When it starts to get a bit cooler outside, going for a walk to just talk and hang out.
This can also be a very romantic activity.

6. Kite Flying.
Like picnics, I think flying kites is also a love I have aquired as I’ve grown up.
Okay so I haven’t done it in years!
But I remember my dad forcing me and my sister to go to a park with him and fly kites.
Looking back, it sounds like a lot of fun to just go enjoy a day flying kites.
Plus, these pictures really help make it seem like fun.

7. Garage Sales. Yard Sales.
All awesome and fun.
Whenever my mom and I are out driving and see a sign, we always go look
even when we have no intention of buying anything. Just for fun.

8. Driving with the windows down and the radio blasting / road tripping

9.BBQ!
Perfect family time.

10. Going to the beach
to collect shells, play in the sand and read in the sun

Do you have anything to add to the list that I forgot? Make a blog post and send me a link via the comments!
Have a Happy Summer!
