“I’m Obsessed!” is a weekly series where one blogger (or artist, blog reader, crafter, etsian, etc) will share what they are currently obsessed with and why. If you’re interesting in writing a post for the “I’m Obsessed!” series please email me kendra[at]likeabirdblog[dot]com
This week, we have several obsessions from Ariane!
“My name’s Ariane & I’m a 20 year old photography student from Canada. I’ve been blogging for a few years now but I recently started a new blog called “those quiet nights”. I’m not much of a writer so I use it to post pictures in order to document little pieces of my life.”

Pine cones. To be honest, I’m not sure why I’m so obsessed with pine cones. I started collecting them a few years ago & now they are kind of all over my apartment. it’s a really nice & inexpensive way to decorate.
Rings. These two rings are my favorite pieces of jewelry. I wear them all the time. The snake ring I bought at an antique store in my hometown for a really great price. And the other ring my boyfriend got for me at this little vintage shop.
Beeswax candles. My mom introduced me to beeswax candles recently. They are the only types of candles that I’ll buy now. They smell so great & they are better for your health!
Necklace. My boyfriend Matt made me this necklace for my birthday last year. It combines my love for simplicity and antique things, but the fact that he made it is what makes it so special.

Thanks so much for commenting to let me know! I don’t know why I’ve been having such issues with my pictures lately. They should be all fixed on this post now. Thanks

I love the necklace!! I have a few antique keys made into necklaces too, and I always get great compliments about it. People tell me its “original” though, or that they’ve never seen it done. I’ve seen it done everywhere lately, but i facetiously tell them that I invented the idea, and if they see it everywhere from now on, to remember that it started with me, hehe
