Bracey’s Obsessed with…Bobby Pins!

“I’m Obsessed!” is a weekly series where one blogger (or artist, blog reader, crafter, etsian, etc) will share what they are currently obsessed with and why. If you’re interesting in writing a post for the “I’m Obsessed!” series please email me kendra[at]likeabirdblog[dot]com

This week, we have an obsession from a fellow blogger and crafter, Bracey!

“Hi bloggers! I’m Bracey of Hand Made and Lovely. I design and create jewelry and accessories. My Etsy shop is filled with recycled vintage pieces and one-of-a-kind jewelry. I blog about my life and current craft projects. Also, I’m obsessed!”

It did not take me long to decide my current obsession…bobby pins. Any of you out there who have ever grown out bangs know what I’m talking about. I wear them almost every day to try to make my hair presentable. Whether it is a standard brown pin to somewhat blend in with my red hair or a one-of-a-kind piece to add some pizzazz…I love it!

These Mum Bobby Pins can be found in my shop.

My obsession does not end with simply wearing these bobby pins. I have been designing and making bobby pins for a few months now too. I use vintage clip-on earrings, buttons, or cabochons to create Hand Made and Lovely pins.

This pin was created by using two vintage screw-on earrings.

These bangs are taking their sweet time growing, but with accessories like these I’m ok with it. This is a style and trend I will continue even after I’m “bang-less”. What can I say? I’m obsessed!

A unique vintage button and bright orange bead make this pin one-of-a-kind.

Be sure to check out all the other bobby pins I have for sale in my Etsy shop. If you like what you see, swing by my blog and let me know. I also have a Facebook fan page for Hand Made and Lovely.
