Photo Friday – Branches

I’m a nature girl. I use to do mainly landscape photography (it’s been such a long time now since I’ve done any landscapes.) But I also have a huge fascination with nature in close range. Not always macros but more…bits and pieces of nature.

I love leaves and feathers lying against the grass, so I can pick up them and tape them to my wall. I love the close up of a twig or a petal that’s hanging lower than the others.
I don’t know why. I also love nature outside of nature.

I think this is my favorite of the group. I put it as my desktop wallpaper

Earlier this week, I was looking around my art room and realized I have 3 pretty branches and have never taken pictures of them! How awful of me!

The 3 pieces are so unique. One is stripped on the end.

One has this really large curve to it that it just lovely.

I love how they look all lying next to each other. I was trying for a full shot of them (from top to bottom), but I was using my 50mm and couldn’t get tall enough above them. I’ll try again and if it works I’ll post it.

Is there anything you’re completely fascinated with and just love to look at for hours?

(ps- did you know that in my right hand side bar, I have a space for my “current inspirations”. I change this bi-weekly or every 3 weeks so be sure to visit the main blog sometimes, if you’re in a reader! Also, be sure to click the image in my “current inspiration” to be taken to the artists website.)
