Scott’s Obsessed with…Zombies!

“I’m Obsessed!” is a weekly series where one blogger (or artist, blog reader, crafter, etsian, etc) will share what they are currently obsessed with and why. If you’re interesting in writing a post for the “I’m Obsessed!” series please email me kendra[at]likeabirdblog[dot]com

This week, we have an obsession from my fiance, Scott. “Drafter, writer, gamer, animal lover, dreamer. If I haven’t seen the entire world by the time I’m dead, then what was the point of life? People, places and all other things out there, I want to experience. Mysteries and adventure could sustain me better than any food I’ve tried yet.”

————————————————————————-

So my obsession? Travel? Sadly, no, I’m much to poor to travel more than out of state (assuming I can even escape the county). So I delve into other cheaper things to get by. Gaming for one, as a proud retro gamer, my N64 collection is second only to my original Game Boy games. Still not quite my obsession anymore, I’m more nostalgic and depressed about it these days.

No, my obsession is of course – Zombies!

I don't hate zombies... +

What is more romantic than the idea of a Zombie Apocalypse? Adventures the like of which haven’t been seen since caveman days. The fight for survival, the constant search for refuge and others. The wanton disregard for personal property.

Left 4 Dead +

I know so many tricks to killing zombies from movies and Valve that I would rock the crap out of an Apocalypse, if only I’d get the chance. Alas this too is confined to fantasy, but between vivid lucid dreams and Left 4 Dead, I can get something of a glimpse into this world.

And besides, with the world overrun by Zombies, there really isn’t anything going to keep me from seeing the natural part of the world. From what I can gather, Angel Falls and Chichen Itza lack brains.

emergency tips +

Perhaps its even some subconscious need to be fully good at something, and braining a slow moving mostly rotted hulk of gangrene sounds simple enough even for me. (err…except for the fast moving zombies, of course).

Zombies on the run +

Course, I wonder if the opposite would be true were I to become a Zombie? How many Meat Popsicles could I devour before a truly epic explosion wipes out all life and unlife on earth?

This was awesome! First, I’d like to say booyah for the gaming. Second, Jen and I have a zombie plan already! We know to prepare. We’ve even had one before the whole Zombie craze started!

We also got Left 4 Dead on Halloween. It’s totally freaky! ^_^
