What’s On My Bookshelf

I see so many bloggers doing the “what’s in my bag” posts and I think it’s such a great way to get to know the writer of the blog and have always thought of doing one.

But, I almost never carry a purse anymore, the only things I ever carry with me are my phone, chapstick and a notebook. Not too exciting.
So I was trying to come up with another fun feature I can share, something for you to get to know me.

What better way to get to know a person than to know what books they own, right?
I have a LOT of books. We currently have 4 bookshelves with books on them and all 4 are overflowing and books are piling up. So I’m going to share with you one shelf at a time.

My first shelf is part of this bookcase in my living room. Most of the time, I organize books just in alphabetical order, but in the living room we decided to separate them and make it prettier! So this shelf is the writing/creative shelf and the mythology shelf. (This shelf is missing about 6 books in this picture because I was reading some writing books and I was using a big ole mythology book to press flowers.)

And because there are just so many books, here are my top 5 from this shelf (in no specific order):
1- Bird by Bird
2- Myths of the Norseman
3- How to Read Literature Like a Professor
4- Writing Down the Bones
5- The Poetic Edda

For a full list of what’s on my bookshelf, I made a handy little list on Amazon: CLICK HERE . (just in case you want to buy any of them too!)

♥If you share what’s on your bookshelf, send me a link!

You are so my inspiration, K.

PS. I applied to join 20SB. :D Thanks for the linkage!

What an awesome idea!!! I will definitely do this too – and maybe the what’s in my bag one, even though not much is in there. :P

  1. [...] Oh it’s another K-Day!  You guessed it – this post is inspired by the amazing Kendra, who has said that many of the folks she follows are into posting “What’s in YOUR bag?!” posts about their purses, murses and backpacks (oh my!).  She has decided to play it a little differently (who can blame her?) and let us get to know her based on her collection of bookshelves.
