What’s On My Bookshelf Pt3

Since we’re on the topic of books…so far I have shared 2 different shelves filled with some books. You can see Part 1 HERE and part 2 HERE for peaks at our writing books and children books.

Today I wanted to share another shelf, but it’s slightly different. This shelf is actually on the same bookcase as our writing books, the shelf just below them.

This is where we keep our board games! I grew up always surrounded by family, which meant lots of talking and lots of games. I can’t wait to have a family game night and stay up until 4am with my some day kids playing monopoly!

I always think it so fantastic that Scott and I can sit playing board games, or card games and just be together. There’s something…extra loving and strengthening in it, if that makes any sense.

A lot of these games were purchased at thrift stores because I prefer classic/original versions of all the games. A lot of these games are from the 70′s and 80′s and I’m always on the hunt for more whenever we go thrifting!

In addition to this shelf with board games, we have a small bucket that has things like cards, dominoes, mind puzzle games and more.
This is my favorite deck of cards:

Isn’t that pattern just so lovely?!
(my second favorite set are mini decks and you feel like giants when you play.)

Check out the Amazon List I made for different versions of our board games!

What’s on your bookshelf? (send me a link/credit back to me if you share!)

I love board games! I think my all time favourite is Monopoly, although I’ve never actually won! :) I love having some friends for dinner and board games – it may sound nerdy, but you and I know it’s a good way to spend a night! :)
And your vintage deck of cards is just lovely! Very pretty!
