Winter Traditions: Overly’s Country Christmas

I love having family traditions and now with a baby on the way it seems even more important to me to get started on some fun family traditions! Scott and I both love festivals and this year we went to a local one called Overly’s Country Christmas: Light Display and Christmas Village!

It was so much fun. There is a small section that you drive through (about a 5-10 minute drive) and they have different light displays. Here are a few photos I took outside of our car (so they are a bit blurry). Then they have a little Christmas Village with a few small shops, some beautiful displays, a train ride for kids, some sheep and a donkey, a sleigh ride and a big bon fire! We walked through some of the shops and saw the animals. We also took a sleigh ride! It was so fun. By the time we got to the bonfire I had put my camera away to enjoy some apple cider and the lovely fire.

Next year, I know the baby will still be so tiny but I still can’t wait to start making traditions for our little family of 3 (or 5 counting the cats), starting right in Summer and going through the fun Autumn and Winter and even Spring!

What are some of your family traditions?
