Last Saturday, Scott and I went on a picnic with my parents. It has been in the 70’s and 80’s for a while now, Chicago hit at least 5 days in a row of record breaking heat! Insane. I just hope it doesn’t mean Summer is going to be awful. It wasn’t even technically Spring until this Tuesday.
After eating, Scott and my dad went out to fly some kites. Scott had never flown a kite before and my dad gave him a kite with 2 strings as his first time. He did well actually, the wind wasn’t very reliable though.
In other news, Scott still doesn’t have a job and while it’s been great to spend lots of time together, it’s been stressful. And I’ve also found it’s nearly impossible for me to work and blog while he’s around all the time! haha! I’m pretty behind on emails and scheduling posts for while I’m gone on Blog Maternity Leave but hopefully things (job, money and blog wise) improve real soon.
Not much else going on around here lately, we’re pretty much all settled in now. Have all of our rooms organized and decorated a little. Most of the week we were working really hard on launching the new Like a Bird Designs site and I’m so excited and proud of it!
