Photo Friday- Project 366: Month 2

Still going great on my Project 366! I noticed that by the end of January, I was thinking less and less about my images and getting stuck. I was hitting the wall that I knew I would hit. Because I don’t leave the house everyday, I do the same thing pretty much over and over again. What’s new to take a picture of? It got to be hard.

So at the end of January, I saw this posted on twitter. There was a challenge for instagram going around in January and it was interested but I saw many people who got bored of the themes there too. And they found this to share. It’s basically a daily challenge but focuses more on technical skills and ways to improve your photography instead of specific subjects each day. I thought it would be a good way to break me out of my “blah” rut from January and so I gave it a shot!

I liked having a prompt to do everyday, especially this month since I’m still getting settled back in my parents house and without Scott around I haven’t been doing as much to take photos of my normal life everyday. I don’t usually work well with a prompt and a few were harder than others and some days I just really didn’t feel like taking a photo at all but I’m pretty proud of myself that so far out of 60 days, I’ve only missed 1 photo! Go me!
